This is more problematic for the civilians that live in the reigons where these troops are stationed imo. Full blown us/ru war is pretty unlikely, but that doesnt nessesarially mean theres no risk. One stray plane gets shot down, and I'm sure we'll have months of dick mesuring before tensions get back to normal. Theres wont be a ground war, but theres plenty of other stuff one side could do to the other to ruin some people's day.

Another cold war or proxy war at most, we know we cant attack them on their land, and they know the same.

100% agree with you, I didn't mean to imply that it wouldn't impact anybody, just that it would be more of a measuring contest than anything
