A very valid point, but it took years for reddit to fully cave to corporate/shadow government interests. A newish site like voat can help reset the expiration clock on free speech forums. If voat caves in a few years, that will have been a positive period which will help transition to the next forum. The challenge is to stay ahead of those who want to keep you from talking, not to cling to one internet forum or another.

By default a 'homogenous society' or group views anything they deem not to be the same as them as inherently evil and to be shunned at all costs - thus logically splintering into factions on a neverending basis over time as differences between each individual in the group is discovered. Where does it stop?
