What I'm gonna say may sound corny but please hear me out.
Fight fire with water.
Think global, act local.
They are spreading hate, ignorance and fear. Spread love, knowledge and courage instead.
Don't seek conflicts, seek compromise.
Avoid giving your money to Them. Buy local, buy sustainable and organic things.
A good rule of thumb is if it's all or mostly made by God, it's probably all or mostly good. If Man gave too much of a hand, consider another brand.
Try to opt out of as many of their systems as possible, whenever possible.
Can you grow your food? Can you trade your labor or services for someone else's rather than using fiat money?
Can you make your own clothing?
Can you make anything instead of buying it?
Can you recycle and buy second hand and goods made from recycled materials?
The more caring your community is of its members and "neighbours", the more knowledge you share and the more selfsustainable it is, the greater your power over Them is.
...whoever They may be ;)

That's not going to fix anything. You are just a drop in the bucket. Self-reliance is nice, and I would go as far as to say one of the more important things you can do as a person, but if you want to stop 'them', in my case, that being the government, then blood MUST be shed. There is no other way.

Or you could do nothing. Great attitude.

I did not suggest doing nothing, in fact, I even said he had a good idea, the only thing is, you have to be realistic, here. People are fucking stupid, easily manipulated, and fallacious beasts, who will always take an official narrative over a local one, because people like to be herded like cattle. What OP is suggesting won't change the world, and it's not going to garner the following that he thinks it will, because ideals have no place in reality.
Do nothing? No. Have realistic expectations? Yes.
