Edit1: Origins of St Patrick's Day Most people don't realize that Christianity was spread through Europe by violence. When St Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland--which never had snakes--they were talking about the killing of Druids.

On v/conspiracy, you come across how Islam is trying to invade the West and how liberalism is trying to destroy our Christian heritage. But, Christianity was an invader at one time, too.

Most of us know that Christmas and Easter were pagan holidays usurped by Christians. Jesus was not born in December. He was born in late September or early October. But Christianity was more determined to squash pagan traditions than to celebrate the birth of Christ.

It bugs me that people attribute the virtues of European cultures to Christianity when I believe much our traditions and ethics had paeanistic roots.
