There have been calls all around the country of the voting machines re-selecting a different candidate that the voter initially picked and were having to go back and redo the whole process several times for the correct vote to go through. Those are the ones who caught it so I'm curious to how many didn't and how that affected the outcome.
On a side note, why the fuck is voting done on a digital machine? Obvious capability of abuse

Answered your own question there: obvious capability of abuse. There's money to be made. For example, political victors elected in large part by Diebold voting machines went on to enable the company to land their ATM machines in China, Indonesia and Russia. Iirc there was a lawsuit that was settled out of court over bribery or corruption charges, I forget which.
The bitch of it is, it's not traceable like lobying is. There's no exchange of money or goods, and it might even be a completely unspoken arrangement. If one of the major voting machine companies can get their selected canadate in office, they get the policies they want, leading to company profit. The canadate (perhaps conveniently) has absolute plausible deniability, and might genuinely never know voter fraud even took place.
If you want to take a crack at some research; Diebold, ESS, Sequoia, and Science Applications International (SIAC) are some of the major players in e-voting machine manufacture.
