CNN and Fox News were bringing on ex-intelligence officers (way before any evidence whatsoever of encryption) to push this "encryption is bad & scary" narrative. It was completely obvious, and yes very creepy. I have to admit that I was underestimating how shillish they were before this. My eyes are wide open now. I think Wolf Blitzer is an intelligence agent, not a reporter.

There is more evidence, tools, and techniques for intelligence agencies and law enforcement then ever before in the history of mankind, but they are still pushing against citizen's rights for more power. It's a god complex, plain and simple. This will never end, once they have this then they'll argue people are having conversations inside their homes, businesses, parks, etc. that they can't get to. Will they outlaw someone writing in code in a letter? What about the first amendment?

I'm thinking the "everybody will be microchipped" wasn't just some wacky conspiracy theory.

Reporters being agents isn't conspiracy. Anderson Cooper was a CIA intern. And Operation Mockingbird was literally about recruiting journalists to be agents.

Reporters being agents isn't conspiracy.

It is if they are not being up front about it.

Bah! You're right. I meant to say conspiracy theory.
