Nuclear weapons- free, not nuclear energy- free. Iran has a civilian nuclear energy program. BUT even if they were developing nuclear weapons, it would not be hypocritical to do so while calling for nuclear disarmament.
"We prefer disarmament, but so long as the dangerous, aggressive terrorist state of Israel has them and threatens us with them, we will develop nuclear weapons of our own to defend ourselves," would be an eminently reasonable position and one which would be fully justified for a country in Iran's situation.
