profanion ago

You mean the one who bombed schools and other civilian buildings?

53army ago

So... it's only Russia who bombed schools and civilian buildings?

profanion ago

I'm not saying that Russia was the only one. But it seems to do more collateral damage than non-collateral damage.

NoneOfTheAbove ago

Can I get source for that, for the current state of ISIS (because I'm not caught up on my reading on the subject, not because I don't believe you)?

dontwatchtv ago

The post is based off multiple sources. But, go to veteranstoday.com if you want a good run down on what's happening in Syria.

NoneOfTheAbove ago

Thank you! I've never been to that site and it looks pretty good.

k_digi ago

http://sputniknews.com/middleeast/20160212/1034667291/aleppo-liberation-media-silence.html

Russian media talking about western media silence on Aleppo liberation.

fagnig ago

http://edition.cnn.com/2016/02/15/middleeast/aleppo-syria-survival-story/ Todays news.

You probably wont get a "liberation" narrative though, thats more a russian crowing, meanwhile the fighting there is causing more refugees to leave the area. Only russia/assad would be portraying this as sunshine and rainbows.

markrod420 ago

Its heartening to see so many people paying attention to the fact that we are deliberately creating these enemies. Sometimes i wonder if im the only guy who realizes that if it werent for our support these guys would be throwing rocks.

Drenki ago

If ISIS is done, so is their pre-text for throwing out Assad.

cky_stew ago

Is there a source on any of this?

dontwatchtv ago

go to veteranstoday.com. It's a pretty good source for what is happening in Syria.

ginx2666 ago

Hundreds of rebels are surrendering.

We know muslims are treacherous bastards. It's literally one of tenets in their terrorist manual to pretend to be peaceful and meek until there's enough of them in a territory to wrestle the control. No to mention ISIS recruiters and terrorists posing as refugees.

What I'm saying is there has to be more permanent way to get rid of surrendering ISIS terrorists than demilitarizing them and jailing them.

mleczko ago

Genuine question to Americans: how does it feel to be the terrorist?

MyDrunkAccount ago

My bad, let me call off the troops...fuck...looks like I lost the super secret number we're all issued to call in military maneuvers...Obama's not going to be happy with me, that's the third time this month already...fuck...I'll just try to play it cool at the next meeting and bring up the idea of withdrawing all our troops and abandoning my oil wells in favor of human rights like it's a brand new idea...I don't think anyone else has suggested that yet and usually radical ideas are very well tolerated so it should be fine. @mlezcko, consider the terrorism over.

XAPHAN ago

Everyone is talking like Assad is not some murderous thug.

crazy_eyes ago

Which countries political leader in this world is not a murderous thug?

Dingolicious ago

At least you know what you're getting with Assad, rather than these western funded ISIS shitbags!

antiplebbitor ago

Why the fuck is this listed under v/conspiracy instead of v/news where it should be?

Truth is NOT a conspiracy!

dontwatchtv ago

news = government propaganda

I don't post in v/news because the sheeple would down vote this post to the bottom rungs

forgetmyname ago

So now the Russian economy will be booming?

forgetmyname ago

water is more important than oil

Smeagol ago

Not if you're halfway across the world from said water and oil.

Fembot ago

I must have missed something. Why are the US and allies trying to rescue ISIS? WTF is up with that?

OrangeKraken ago

Because generally you want to protect your investments.

ShineShooter ago

CIA created them with funding from Kandahar opium farming, then barack hussein obama gave them a shitload of guns, let them take a shitload of US vehicles parked in Iraq, then gave ISIS warnings before bombing their convoys.

6double5321 ago

The spice must flow.

xXx_420_xXx ago

Fuck. I've read those books since I was a kid, and I've never realized they're about oil.

XAPHAN ago

This.

turdovski ago

I like how in western media, sponsoring murdering terrorists is ok as long as it's them fighting against "evil terro russia"

pitenius ago

I'm tired of being the bad guy.

Liber ago

Would you rather be the dead good guy?

AssaultMonkey ago

At this point, I might settle for being Russia. I'm half way through The Untold History of the United States by Oliver Stone and I now detest the people who have been ruling the US.

tux ago

Yup. The US is run by greedy criminals.

Liber ago

Pretty much all the western countries are run by criminals!

aileron_ron ago

America has been at this for how long, Russia has been at it for under a year and look at IS run.

fagnig ago

September. 6 months. And to be fair, the western coalitions 'destroy assad, with only rebels and jets/drones', was a different kind of effort, than, 'dig out assads forces with your own ground forces, plus planes and drones, and now the nation states own troops, and dominate the ground and sky with no resistance from NATO'. Its no surprise russia has seen such success, the NATO plan was ineffective.

escapefromredditbay ago

theres already video of cia-backed rebels with anti-tank missles, specifically using them to kill russin commanders. technically, ww3's fighting already has been kicked off

escapefromredditbay ago

well fuck, that was easy as soon as someone actually put the effort in

dontwatchtv ago

NATO is about to invade Libya to fight ISIS. I bet that war will last 15 years.

Pepper-theDoctor ago

how many years has the US already been fighting there? 5 years?

Sciency ago

Hope yall are ready for 4 dollar gas again. And I have a funny feeling Russia will finish isis off just a handfull of days before election time, with oil spiking up again a couple months after inauguration.

Just my .02.

dontwatchtv ago

That'll be too soon. We won't see $4 gas for 10 years. As soon as we get rid of our Priuses and Hybrid vehicles for SUVs and full size pickups.

JJWeavil ago

We're on the verge of very interesting times.

TahTahBur ago

Yes. I bet within a week there will be some "plot twist" in the main stream media narrative that enables a new phase of this war

putinpunhere ago

"Its time to go full blitz! We need to get done with DAESH to avoid an additional, and potentially devastating, front."

Onlio ago

I'm fully rooting for Putins boys to pull this off

foltaisaprovenshill ago

Agreed, I don't relish the idea of Israhell's plan of annexing EU and America into "Greater Israel". Disgusting fucking genocidal inbred freaks.

Javik2186 ago

Within a week, before Friday. I hoping a large battle will take place, a big enough battle that will make The Battle of Kursk or Stalingrad tiny in comparison.

Internet_Celeb ago

It's either that or ww3

DoucheBagMcGee ago

WW3 or bust is what I always say!

ElspethTirel ago

Why not both?

IMO, this is all just set up still...TPTB are setting the Middle East up for the greatest war of all time.

jervybingly ago

It would be the Likud Party's wish: armageddon. Israel was in on the planning of this clusterfuck, but their IDF is letting other countries' armies do their fighting.

ElspethTirel ago

This entire scenario is how the anti-christ is supposed to come about. When a group tries to force the Biblical end times to happen, that gives birth to the anti-christ. It is in all the major religion stories, but this is almost directly what the Kabbalah says will happen.

It is like if Jesus came back and the Christians had him crucified again. Directly contrary to what their belief system says to do.

dontwatchtv ago

I think so too. Right when the world's financial system is about to crash.

It's a shame that China stayed out of Syria. Even if Russia and Syria gets attacked by NATO, I don't think China will help Russia.

crusade ago

Staying out would set China as the world's premier power afterward.

shmegegy ago

they will try to pull something big in Damascus before that happens IMO

Internet_Celeb ago

Turkey has 2 ground forces queued up on eastern front of Syria (rumors of them already crossing border)

Conveintently to the south east you have "war games" North thunder being staged

And earlier Qatar called for more support in Syria

Oh, and the house of Saudi is on the Jordanian border waiting.
