I keep hearing a weird ass noise emanating from the sky too. Its only on wednesdays though, at the exact time I get off work at 9p,m lasts for about 10 minutes. Definitely not like anything ive heard and its definitely not a train... to me it sounds almost like a symphony warming up, it sort of builds and gets higher pitched and its really really loud. I live about 10 miles from a major air force base sooo im guessing its something from there. Fucking weird.
Get similar occurrences but I live half a mile from the AFB, could just be quietness of night noise allowing for the jet engines firing up of the AWACS running 24/7/365 operations.
Sounds like it is coming from west of the base is what seems weird, but there is one 5 story bank in the neighborhoods of 1 story residential which I suppose could be reflecting the sound.
Key point is, human observation can tell that these are very powerful sounding unusual noises. I mean GE TF34 engines are an amazing show of power in and of itself, Rattles windows in the house when they land overhead on the SE/NW strip.
