Canada sells off large chunks of its gold reserves

Very misleading. Canada didn't HAVE any significant gold reserves. Look at the chart: https://shawglobalnews.files.wordpress.com/2016/02/canada-gold.png

Almost all the gold was sold in the 1990s.
