Question: Does an x-ray render food unsafe to eat? I didn't realize this was the case.

Alias_Unknown ago

No not at all. X Rays don't leave that sort of radioactive residue. It's about as dangerous as eating it after it was traveling in your luggage at 40,000 feet.

what kind of xray? although putting the question through Google...probably safe to eat? its already used in a lot of foods to sterilize it before shipping so it might have already been xrayed.

I really don't think it matters which kind of x ray. A chocolate bar wouldn't absorb and store x ray energy.

You'll be ok, but will your guilty conscience be the same? Did you know that chocolate is made from milk and cocoa? Do you know where that milk comes from?

...

It comes from the poor African people in the Ivory Coast who are tired of working on those damned cocoa plantations.

Was it a foil wrapper like a european kitkat or was it just plastic?

umatbro ago

I think we use foil wrappers here in Australia.

it is probably ok.
