A friend of mine who is like minded works at the convention center, and heard that an event was being held as an open forum of sorts. I didn't personally attend, but that's what I gathered. Knowing a few other employees, I asked around to see what else I could find. Very few people even heard of the event. Only the people working that day knew an event was going on. I decided to show up with my camera to see what would happen. Maybe some nonsense with local law, maybe something with feds, but I thought why not.
It turns out that protesters found out about the event. Below is an album of the incredibly brief protest. Given how hard I had to work, and how many inside connections I had to have just to know about this, I'm curious how anyone else could have learned about it, pulled together people, made signs, and showed up to protest.

Quick edit: To clarify. This is an alt I just setup because I'd like to keep my fun life separate from my paranoid life

Protesters protesting protesters. Seriously though probably undercover cops and fbi.

So did you ask any of them how they heard of it?

I wanted to, but they dispersed pretty quickly. Half the group was gone 5 minutes after their march around the building. The rest got tied up with reporters.

Astroturf protest? Or just stupid people not realizing the government is the bad guy here?

With the capability to find out virtually anything on the internet and social media connections, many people are constantly updated with new info so I'm not surprised that all these people quickly found out and assembled a protest.

If it was a bunch of young people, I would agree with you. However, it looked like someone emptied out a senior center that day. Those aren't the types I would associate internet sleuthing.
