I have been noticing the reoccurance of certain words or phrases lately. Sure, one could just say it's how media is spread with talking points and PR releases circulated to the media-- and I am sure there is some of that.
Even so, I will be watching someone like Stossel who suddenly says, "Diversity Is Our Strength". Instantly I am hit with EngSoc images of Hateweek. I see this phrase so often, is there any empirical data that shows the statement is true? I only see people asserting it.
Here in Canada, we elected a SJW (regressive Liberal/Progressive), and he and his cabinet constantly talk about diversity being Canada's strength. Just watch Mahr [destroy a Canadian cabinet minister ](https://youtu.be/ntv3a80RGiw?list=PLXdsmaX1COU07QdhWK6MxUgpYh1I6YFuG) right after saying, 'Diversity is our Strength".
Another word that seemed to crop up for a time was, 'normalcy'. It was constantly repeated right after 9/11 like some kind of lullaby. Every news show, every speech, had to contain some version of the phrase, "a return to normalcy'.
Anyone else catch reoccurring phrases or specific words, or have any insight to nuero lingisutic programing (NLP)? I can't help but think this is part of some mass hypnosis with specific words used to induce catatonic-like apathy, or rage directed at specific targets in times when a diversion is required to hide some illegal gov't action.

Language is the greatest invention of man but also it's greatest brain washing tool. Learning to think through pictures and abstraction helps breaks this spell and adds to creativity. This is something Nikola Tesla and all great thinkers understand.

I've read books by Lakoff and Pinker which suggest specific words conjure up a mental grid that exists in a kind of metaphysical space.
They said, the word 'up' would be center and up on this map. And 'up', it itself, is framed along with concepts such as happiness, good health, joy, exuberance, honesty (on the up and up), and so on. Words like 'down' occupy center-bottom and are framed with concepts like destitute, immoral, depression, loss etc...
I am wondering if we are being maniputlated in the same way? Like re-framing trigger words and re-positioning them on our mental maps? So phrases like "Diversity is our Strength" begins to frame strength and diversity together and creates the opposite framework, "Sameness is Weakness".
And I would bet there is more to it. Colours, fast cuts, cadences and the like.
Like the man said, "All art is propaganda". I thought that was a bit of hyperbole but the more I am exposed, the older I get, the more I see it's true.
