Gotta concur with /user/MartinH: she's openly lying, but choosing words carefully. I think that she might be in error, though, in that some of that information was technically classified, but not classified as "classified". That might bite her in the ass.

The ugly end is that as senator, she actually voted on several federal laws regarding electronic security, yet her private server was pretty far from secure and what she refused to give congress can be torrented. (There are problems with non-repudiation, but the leaks seem to check out.)

I'm amazed at how dumb this woman is. I could expect or forgive criminality, but an incompetent criminal? In high offices? Shiiiiiit.

I didn't point out her hypocrisy with the thing about the "classified" NY Times article on drones.

Decent Americans have been prosecuted and jailed for "leaking" what was already public knowledge, yet she claims ignorance of these laws.

Or from a different angle, intelligence agencies have been known to use well-known media outlets to communicate with remote agents. This helps with authenticity of the message cause it's really hard to fake those sources and you may not know where your agents are exactly when you need to message them.
