So. The thought occurred to my group the other day, that with the Syrian refugees actually not being Syrian, but rather are "North African refugees" who channel through Syria.
And the fact that Ebola has now resurfaced back in Africa and in fact lives on three to four times longer in hosts then previously thought just a year ago.
Could Europe and the US be in for a huge Ebola outbreak come this spring in all those densely packed cities full of refugees?? It's a scary thought.

My source said that a lot of the refugees are Iraqi and Libyan -- neither of which had Ebola. Ebola is sub-saharan and western. Africa is a big place. Also, I'd guess that the outbreak would be happening now in a ghettoized population. Seasonal changes in disease means that it cycles through different hosts. F. ex., when Ebola dies down among people it spreads among bats. Moving to a new ecosystem with new bioreserves would interrupt that cycle. I'd suspect it would manifest a human vector or die.
