Eye Symbolism on Reddit (Conspiracy)

I've been looking out for eye symbolism lately. Can anybody tell me what the symbol really means and why it is done so obviously by celebrities? There must be an interview somewhere that addresses this weird phenomenon.

Eye of Dajjal. The Islamic Anti-Christ is "Dajjal". He is supposed to be blind in one eye but he sees all.

I think the media is purposely stoking Islamic prophecy fears. The Muslim suspect America is the Anti-Christ and then to have our celebrities make these symbols just adds to it. And considering that Hip Hop is big in the Middle East, it is not surprising that the Hip hop artist is the one most likely to make such symbol.

I've encountered it as "eye of horus" Well, it's not just Hip Hop artists, it's the entire industry. Even the Beatles flashed these symbols around and that was way back in the 70's.

Possibly. But consider how many artists have stated that they sold their soul to the devil.

Eye of Horus is a symbol often used to ward of evil. You'd have to enlighten me on the eye of horus.

Yeah, I've seen the pics of the Beatles, Lady Gaga, Miley and others. But, its being done a lot more frequently and more prominently now than it was 30 years ago.

There are some videos on youtube. Well it goes something like this: Something, something Illuminati something, something borrow their signs from Egypt because of ancient mystery schools. Then there is also some stuff about sun worship and Satan. Eye of Horus was not represented as something good.

I've also read somewhere that hiding one eye means that the soul has died.

Have you been to vigilantcitizen.com? There are usually good compilations of this hand gesture in "symbolic pics of the month". Take everything you read there with a grain or three of salt, however.
