it's truly a great book and I would recommend picking it up if you can. It is quite short as this reviewer has said which was about the only insight of his I found valuable since he decided to do a book review after reading fucking HALF of it. You can see this dude is a cunt about 5 seconds in with his pretentious adjusting of his glasses.
I've always expressed this to everyone I know and I don't see why people refuse to accept it. Does the state want intelligent thinkers? No, smart people cause problems. They want workers who are completely naïve fools as tax cattle.
Alternative POV: New York City schools are dominated by liberals. THOSE public schools teach nothing but blind conformity and standardized tests. Unfortunately, this 'progress' is spreading to the rest of us.
the answer is to home school, or to get in a like minded community and work together to create a home school private environment where you raise kids to your values. the latter of course is illegal if the state does not sanction such teaching. they use special regulations "for the welfare of the children" in order to prevent you from organizing a good curriculum that does not include state sponsored indoctrination. the requirements they push for on home schooling are designed to attempt to get you to indoctrinate your child at home as well (as much as possible).
they want a monoculture, they are actively fighting against real diversity. they want an obedient population that all act similarly to similar control techniques. they allow the rich to pay for elite schools that are held to different standards and teach them to be the future ruling class.
home school if possible, if not than private school. if you can do neither, than you shouldn't have children.
