Murdoch owns vice. They lost any integrity with the sale.

I decided to look this up, and Murdoch only has a 5% share, while WPP owns 25% and the founders of vice are the majority shareholders. I wouldn't say that Murdoch "owns" Vice.

Don't be stupid. Look at the board of directors.

They share board seats in how many companies? If you owned 25% of a 500 million dollar company, but another board member owns 20 billion of additional assets and 5% of the 500 million dollar company, are they really in 'less control'?

Do you not think Murdoch wouldn't let any of his underlings own more equity in any particular company? How then do you incentivize them?

The moment Vice sold themselves to mega-news agencies, they died. Period.

Disney owns more.

My point is, VICE is owned piecemeal by major news media corps now. And Murdoch is the leader. 5% ownership means squat. He's directing them.
