Anecdotal lottery is bullshit, scam, rigged, story time.
I sold these fucking scratch tickets and other lottery games for fucking years. People who spend more than 10 bucks a week on these things are assholes and idiots, no exception.
On September 11 2002 the pick three number in CT was 911. There is no way this was random and not rigged, the chances are pretty much impossible for this to happen, I'm no fucking mathematician but the odds must be in the hundreds of millions. I guess the state was feeling generous and in honor of national tragedy gave the lotto scumbag idiots a free gift, as the number was sold out before noon. Yes there are limits to how many of a number the states will sell to make sure they always no matter what come out ahead. Also add in on any major win taking a lump sum payout you will be taxed 50% off the top and another 35% at the end of the year on the remainder.
I remeber one year in the months leading up to Christmas the powerball jackpot grew week by week. What do you know the week of Christmas some lucky asshole woke up to the tune of 300 million.
There is a reason the states and government went after the mob for running numbers just to turn around and run the numbers racket in the form of state lotteries.
Pro tip if you can handle 500$ swings and simple math and a number wheel you can grind out a extra couple hundred dollars a month from these corrupt thieving assholes.
Either way a dollar and a dream is ok, it's nice that a dollar can excite your imagination for a week thinking about your escape from the rat race. That's really all this trash is worth, some mental stimulation with dreams of hookers and bathtubs full of cocaine.
So ya fuck state lotteries, enjoy your idiot tax if you happen to play.

Edit : longingfornightmode has a boner for my terrible math in line 7 of this post as he has pointed out in both postings. The odds are 1 in 1000. Heap praise on his superior mathematical analysis, that a simple Google search does indeed list the game odds.
