Texas and Virginia, two of the death penalty states that historically have been the most aggressive in carrying out executions, stand out as examples of the punishment's declining use. Both states have implemented major reforms in indigent defense in recent years, producing dramatic changes in the death penalty landscape. In Texas, which had 48 death sentences in 1999, juries have handed down only three death sentences so far this year.
Pretty bad joke - more like distracting and dishonest, as these Saudi victims were not convicted of murder or rape, but of poetry and prose, or reasons against Wahhabism.
Oh I didn't. I just said they were trying to keep up with Texas in amount of deaths committed by government. I have a friend whose part of the royal guard in Saudi Arabia, played an online game with him (Marvel Heroes) and talked with him on Whats app, Skype and on Ventrillo. I went as far as to try to find work there in the Telecom industry. He said these types of executions are commonplace and are usually carried out by the religious police. I do not make light of the issues their citizens face. This has been going on for centuries and is nothing new for Saudi Arabia. I no longer can feel sorry for these people. Yes it is horrible that it is occurring but honestly mate, what can me and you do about it? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. There is a larger issue that has to be dealt with first and that is the Muslim Religion. That is what sanctions these killings. Sharia Law. So please go on about me making a joke about the issue. What the hell else do you want me to do man? These people won't help themselves, so I am not going to go out of my way to bring their issues to the world stage. When muslims change so will I.
Edit: Clarified where I met my Saudi Friend who enlightened me on what really goes on over there.
Saying that the Muslim religion is a problem and mentioning Sharia law as an example is like saying Christians are a problem, offering the Westboro Baptist Church as a valid example. There are crazy people everywhere, but the problem is our leaders are giving them more money because of cheap oil. Wahhabism was supported by British and American interests before WW2.

Just trying to keep up with Texas.

So, 3 > 150?

You realize that it takes YEARS for people to be executed. Just because only 3 were convicted doesn't mean that Texas isn't killing people.
I know people hate Wikipedia but: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_offenders_executed_in_the_United_States_in_2015
but my go to source isn't working atm: http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/execution-list-2015
So yes, your correct that only 3 have been sentenced to death. Texas has killed around 13 people this year.
My comment was a joke and in no way a defamation of the great state of Texas.
Site finally loaded...Correcting stats.

That is your opinion. I backed up my statement. I am done with this issue and I hope you have a great day.

Please do not dismiss the fact that Saudis are killing off people who write poetry, while Texas is killing off convicted killers.
