It's not exactly a stretch, considering that it was openly cheered during the previous administration, and the guy who ran against Obama in 2008 was on the campaign trail singing "Bomb Bomb Bomb, Bomb Bomb Iran" at events.
I think we're in another cold war period since the Ukraine situation orchestrated by the West. Russia getting involved in Syria is an escalation of this, but whether it continues into a full blown war would be hard to predict at this time.
The West and the US (controlled by Jewish Zionists) have chosen their side, it would be interesting to see what side some neutral countries take eg South American countries. As for the Arab and Muslim World, they'll take the side that is against the Jews, even if they dont like Iran, there is nothing they hate more than the Israeli regime.
I've got news for you, bud, the Saudi's are long-aligned with the Israeli's. The war over Israel's survival and the Jews right to have a nation in the Levant ended decades ago. Nobody in the region is interested in getting rid of Israel as a practical goal. All of the maneuvering in the region is about control and power. Who is going to be the dominant force in the area? It's really the Saudis/Israel/US/Qatar/ on one team and Iran/Syria/Shia Iraq/Lebanon on another.

I read two years ago that this would happen and we would be at war with Iran before Obama leaves office

The
lastfirst world war started with a single assassination, so could it? Absolutely yes.I'm not sure it would though. The stage was fully set when Ferdinand was shot, but you only ever see those things in hindsight.

You're thinking of WWI but still make a valid point.

Would you agree that WW2 is just WW1 part 2? And that WW3 is actually WW2?
