It's scary how thought out this book is. Orwell was a smart man.

there are patterns of exploitation that have been repeating themselves since the very start of our species. Orwell's genius was in identifying and expressing them in an absolutely cogent manner. If 1984 doesn't leave you numb with fear then you don't deserve freedom.
