Religion may be made up fantasy. But it gave the whole of Western civilization the rules to live and thrive. In the absense of its' influence, literal insanity is spreading in the vacuum. Jesus is the superhero we need, not deserve - without shame, without regret, and most importantly without pennance we are doomed to tumblr.
