I'll sticky so we can have one place for ideas and suggestions from the newly formed community.
Please include how this place should be 'moderated' - if at all.
/User/Atko (thank you!) is the founder of Whoaverse which is currently in early alpha testing. There are bugs, some he is aware of and others I'm sure he is not. (I've read he is managing the site himself.) If you have experience developing you might reach out to see if you can provide him with any assistance he might require.
edit: I want to sticky post this but I don't know that I can! Here is a link to Whoaverse's development history for those interested.....https://github.com/whoaverse/whoaverse.

An admin flat out said they will not tolerate any form of racism. If the antichiosus88 types show up, ban them immediately.

Shit, that means this sub is screwed.

But we love his full time job of posting shit about penta grams and saturn worship. :)

I'm not sure how you can do it, but there needs to be a way to cull the people that do nothing but derail conversations. I'm not talking about opposing viewpoints, i welcome those. I'm talking about the people that pop into a thread and post ad hominems/personal attacks/copy pastes and have no interest in debate.

I think really the only thing needing moderation is the comments and spam.
Moderation of comments means getting rid of users constantly using logical fallacies specifically ad hominem. Personal attacks do nothing to further a conversation. They end them.
We need to maintain civil discourse or else it will be fruitless.

Maybe, the only 'rule' (I hate rules) could be no ad hominem attacks?
Also, I didn't like how Reddit caused dozens of the same story to be posted and commented on... splintering conversations into a thousand little pieces. Do you think this can be avoided?

My biggest worry (other than non-participation) is for this turn in to some vicious /pol/ type place.

Neither do I, nor do I think it will.
