>peak oil

Garbage.

The one thing Mike Rupert couldn't have been more wrong on.

How can you run out of something that can be mass produced?

Oil (see: Hydrogen and carbon) being a finite resource is one of the biggest scams perpetrated on humanity in the last 75 years.

The Fischer-Tropsch process requires huge amounts of energy. Where are you going to get that from?

This isn't about some hypothetical in my head, I know people, former military, support divisions, who have confirmed shipments of "FT Oil" to them. So whatever problem you think there is in the energy required to create it? They figured it out, and they didn't tell you. :)

This is quite simple. You cannot gypsy the laws of thermodynamics. While the FT method does produce energy in the form of oil it requires MORE energy to make that oil.

The concept is Energy Returned On Energy Invested (EROEI). It is only feasible to use the FT method when you have a huge source of energy that is 'cheap', in your case it is probably natural gas. NG is really quite cheap in comparison to oil. NG is however also a finite resource.

The FT method is only viable at the moment because oil is worth more natural gas. Ultimately though, the FT process results in a net loss of energy making in a rather shitty choice of oil production. Furthermore, natural gas is finite making FT unsustainable.

Peak oil is not a 'theory', it is a geological fact.

Okay, "tinfoilhat", thanks for your input. :)

No problem "OWNtheNWO".

I am sorry to tell you there is no such thing as perpetual motion. You cannot argue with basic physics.

Please, NASA is openly talking about building a warp drive, you aren't in Kansas anymore Todo. If you don't think they didn't figure out something like perpetual motion and ways around thermodynamics decades ago, you are living in the bubble they've made for you.

The dogs name was Toto. Second of all, 2 poorly written web articles with no links to actual peer reviewed papers does not undermine the laws of physics.

OWNtheNWO ago

That's very interesting, and how much have you paid for these opinions you are sharing with me?

tinfoilhat ago

  1. Please indicate what part of the above is opinion.

  2. Paid? WTF are you even talking about?
