Very true, Parents should get their kids VAX. The deaths from measles (100k/year) Death from VAX (verylow)

Based on more than 50 years of experience with vaccines, we can say that the likelihood that a vaccine will cause unanticipated long-term problems is extremely low.

This is like riding in a car pool where everyone contributes each month to pay for gas, repairs to the car, etc.; and one morning a new guy shows up and says, "I think I’ll ride along with you. But I’m not going to pay, since you’re going downtown anyway and you have an empty seat." If enough people choose to take a free ride on other children’s immunity, herd immunity will soon disappear.

People keep throwing around that phrase "herd immunity" but it seems to mean something different every time I hear it.

Herd immunity means that, for instance, those too young to be vaccinated aren't exposed to preventable illnesses 99.9% of the time because most people have been vaccinated against it. Same for that percentage on whom the vaccines don't take.

More people vaccinated means fewer people vulnerable means fewer vulnerable people infected. Herd immunity.
