The power group, cabal, whatever you'd like to call it has suffered some major set-backs in the last week or so on voat. The community stood together voting against the moderator collusion, and against the poor moderation ongoing on voat.
The mods were upset by this, and tried (and failed) in posting their defensive attacks of both their corrupt moderation and calling anything related to the truth of the situation a "witch hunt."
Luckily voats users have seen through this, and have showed a level of intelligence and maturity necessary to properly dismantle the poor arguments this group was making.
I don't believe this group of users have suffered a defeat like this before, and I'm sure their bitter. Rumor is that one of their own has called the FBI in over a legal sub to stir drama here. We should keep in mind SRS from reddit has been accused of planting child porn on sites they disliked in the past leading to those sites being shut down.
This group of users already has alts and is already attempting to use them to vote manipulate (and is failing miserable I might add).
Naturally their next tactics are only likely to get dirtier and worse. Fellow mods you should expect the worst and moderators site wide should be ready to remove illegal content and identify trolls involved in this group to yourself so you can be ready when they do start playing dirty.
Good luck guys

Ahh.
And to think, just a couple of months ago, I was being told on Reddit that I was "defending racism."

So... we're to posit some nebulous group of posters, who have been rumored to have done some thing in the past, and we're to assume that they're certainly only going to cause harm, and so, for the good of the community, mods should be ready to "remove illegal content" and "identify trolls" in response to them.
Gosh. Where have I heard that sort of thing before? Where in the relatively recent past did I see a group of people identify some other group of people as a nascent threat and insist that, for the good of the community, those people need to be dealt with?
Oh yeah... that's right. It was on Reddit. In fact, that attitude - that presumption by one group of posters that targeting another group of posters was necessary for the good of the community - was exactly what turned it into a shithole I stopped going to.

This is /v/conspiracy. Are you surprised to see conspiracy theories here?

Yes and I'm clearly part of such a cabal :3
