Holocaust revisionism was the first search result publicly altered by Google.
When Google censors a topic, other search engines are affected too because it manipulates the website rankings, so search engines that don't even use Google stuff for their results will no longer show those results.
Nice! Thanks! The thing about any site that accepts non-narrative information and stories is they act like a deep sea dragnet. They may catch a lot of garbage but occasional they catch something solid gold. That open net, open connection offers those with information and that are afraid to share it, can anonymously share info with these sites. "Conspiracy Theory" is a wicked mind game we don't have to play.
They pull that with a lot of things. Its how they killed SWFs / Flash animation and games. Most search engines cant be considered an internet search engine anymore. It doesnt show you the internet. Its more of a here is what we want you to see service.
That abuse of their monopoly forces compliance from sites reliant on users and viewers to survive. Just one of several ways compliance is coerced. Sites comply or die.
I regret to inform you that more than half of these are riddled with disinformation and total nonsense, in some cases by arms of intelligence agencies, in other cases more private disinformation operations.
Your logic is flawed here. No one is trying to score for the keyword "conspiracy sites". Most of these sites don't even exist anymore. Most of the rest have horrible SEO and will never score (rank). The couple that are ok can be found on Google for their proper search terms.
The difference in searches between bing, duckduckgo and Google are huge. It's obvious that Google is curating the results for the user in a way that limits their access to information. See https://files.catbox.moe/6vc79i.png
However, you're also implying that the user should know how Google labels searches in order to be successful. In other words, it is ok with you that Google is moving the goal posts making the task of searching more difficult while other search engines don't seem to require the user to know very specific terms to find what they're looking for.
Thanks for the list. Confirms what a lot of people would expect, I guess. Also, people visiting those sites probably don't use Google. I haven't used Google for search, since many years.
The sites OP linked report on groups that have potentially conspired or colluded to disenfranchise others. The MSM is one such shadowy cabal and their reports are those which they have conspired to publish.
Death to censors and all that good stuff but beware, half of the sites I recognize from that list are genuinely garbage nonsense fake news bullshit built to stir up ad revenue.
Yea, I said the same thing. It’s always a toss-up, trying to figure out if people are shilling or just genuinely believe/subscribe to certain sources or narratives.
Even if you don't use Google, them censoring results affects those website rankings, so they drop out of the search results for other search engines that don't even use Google stuff.
We don't but the vast majority of people do. So your average normie might finally want to look into something and they google it!, get zero results, and think, oh well!
It’s “simply” that most people really don’t give a shit in regard to what happens when it isn’t directly affecting them in the short term.
With that in mind, why the hell would any “normie” not use Google? It’s prominent, works for the non-controversial subjects (this is key - because most people only care for the mainstream) and so on.
I wouldn’t call it programming; it’s simply the path of least resistance.

I remember when pizzagate broke, google was forcing conspiracy forums to censor or they wouldn't get paid for ad revenue.

Stop using Google.
Check out the difference between Google and Bing. I mean, I don't trust Bing, but look at how much more diverse the results are between the two.

Nope. A conspiracy theory is by definition a story the MSM refuses to report,

You have it reversed. Conspiracy theories are the stories the msm reports.
