When Google censors a topic, other search engines are affected too because it manipulates the website rankings, so search engines that don't even use Google stuff for their results will no longer show those results.

Nice! Thanks! The thing about any site that accepts non-narrative information and stories is they act like a deep sea dragnet. They may catch a lot of garbage but occasional they catch something solid gold. That open net, open connection offers those with information and that are afraid to share it, can anonymously share info with these sites. "Conspiracy Theory" is a wicked mind game we don't have to play.

They pull that with a lot of things. Its how they killed SWFs / Flash animation and games. Most search engines cant be considered an internet search engine anymore. It doesnt show you the internet. Its more of a here is what we want you to see service.

That abuse of their monopoly forces compliance from sites reliant on users and viewers to survive. Just one of several ways compliance is coerced. Sites comply or die.

Your logic is flawed here. No one is trying to score for the keyword "conspiracy sites". Most of these sites don't even exist anymore. Most of the rest have horrible SEO and will never score (rank). The couple that are ok can be found on Google for their proper search terms.

However, you're also implying that the user should know how Google labels searches in order to be successful. In other words, it is ok with you that Google is moving the goal posts making the task of searching more difficult while other search engines don't seem to require the user to know very specific terms to find what they're looking for.

It’s “simply” that most people really don’t give a shit in regard to what happens when it isn’t directly affecting them in the short term.

With that in mind, why the hell would any “normie” not use Google? It’s prominent, works for the non-controversial subjects (this is key - because most people only care for the mainstream) and so on.

I wouldn’t call it programming; it’s simply the path of least resistance.
