Interesting that Musk can create a gimball system for rocket engines to get them to land on a dime, but can't create a control system for a rocking boat?
Guess that extra tree-fiddy was just too much cost for him.
It is mind boggling how something so important to their mission and purpose has only a single camera feed.
I'm sure there are at least 8 cameras on the recovery platform, and for data analysis purposes they would want multiple feeds to watch from different angles if things go wrong.
The crash landing of the heavy rocket test today had a smooth camera feed.
bro, I like elon musk and all, but uh... NASA is a huge fraud, and space-x is so closely twined with NASA I find it hard to believe then that Space-X isn't full of shit too... I want to believe but uh... nahh.. its a scam right?
It would probably go a long way to boosting Musk's reputation among the non-fanbois if he actually posted full non-glitchy video, or spent just a little (oh so little) effort to have the video feed not go tits up every fucking landing.
Because of the glitch every fucking landing I have a hard time believing that there isn't another lander already in place.
The glitch is to cover the swapping of the video feeds.

If that is landing 68 of the first stage, that is also the 68th landing with the "camera glitch" at the moment of landing.

Yup, every time there's some sort of "glitch". I'd think the engineers there would be smart enough to see something's up with these live feeds.

The drone ship has a sat link for video. When the rocket lands the boat moved fucking up the sat link. I guess they should just run cat5 to it right?

hahah yeah they can make spaceships just not working cameras

Cameras work perfectly fine, until the exact moment of touchdown, and then recover immediately after.

right and they act as though they are wireless which there is absolutely no explanation as to why such an important camera would not be wired...
