He married into another powerful NYC real estate family and looked like a solid bet back in 2015, before Trump ran for President on an anti-globohomo platform.

The reason Kushner isn't savaged endlessly and taken down is because he's got too much money and influence on his own. He owns a NYC newspaper and is highly connected. Ivanka didn't marry him because he had a manly bod.
