Demons are just what people attributed to sinful ideologies of the past. It's like looking at reddit and watching all those leftists go from "nice people" to completely screeching SJW's overnight. In the past we would think they were under demonic possession. These days we can perceive it as a mind virus, or an ideology that has completely taken over them.
Doesn't necessarily mean either one or the other belief is true. As far as we know, they could very well be demons and thanks to clown world we play it down to ideology.
