Thank you!

What spectrum is 5G and were those frequencies used previously? I know a good chunk of UHF and VHF from the old television days went on to become cellular phone networks.

5G, as in "fifth generation technology" with regards to cell phones, will utilize bands that sit between 450Mhz all the way up to around 60Ghz. The upper GHz range has not been used terrestrially for much, because of poor range. Point to point microwave links come to mind perhaps, but most of the other form of GHz communication is from satellite links. These will obviously be split so that cellular does not interfere with satellite comms.

The ranges are (from memory) something like 450Mhz - 6Ghz, and then another range from around 25Ghz upwards.

While is very easily sounds like dismissable conspiracy conjecture, when you start talking microwaves spread all across urban areas, whelp: then it becomes a conversation of microwaves everywhere.

Yes, exactly. And as many of the microwave studies indicate, people are not worried without reason.
