The video is from data taken around September 8, 2020 05:26:17 UTC.
There doesn't seem to be any way to look at historical satellite data on the website.
The guy in the video seems convinced that the DEW is land based, but what he's looking at is a 2D representation of 3D space. To me it looks like the beam is space based and the satellite picture is taken from another angle in space, which on a 2D surface makes the beam appear to come from a different angle.

why aren't there any videos of the 1000s of satellites orbiting the earth?
wanderingblade ago
I honestly don't know what to make of that issue. I don't see how satellites can even work, I don't think gravity is how they describe it, there is just a downward force. Objects aren't attracted to each other, there is no proof of gravity
beefartist ago
I think it is more about levels of buoyancy or density, not so much a gravitational force

2 points:
Satellites are constantly "falling" they aren't floating or held up. They are positioned at a certain height so due to the curve of the earth they continue to stay at the same relative height. It's like one of those coin race machines where the coin goes around and around the funnel. Eventually all satellites fall to earth.
Gravity is very weak. Look at how easily you can you can jump off the ground. Your legs are more powerful than the gravitational force of the entire earth. Perhaps it's that gravity isn't intuitive to you?

Point number 2 sounds reasonable...point number 1? If you believe the earth is curved you haven't taken much time to think about it, let alone perform any number of simple experiments to prove otherwise. Probably should stop being a condescending cunt about it until you do

I've personally performed the simple experiment of sailing East until I got back to where I started. Unless the stars we use to navigate rotated just for me and no one else noticed we're on a sphere.
beefartist ago
That still doesn't prove the earth is a globe nor that it is spinning
Elcycs ago
Yeah, it does.
beefartist ago
You watch your tone or I will have you keelhauled when we cross the equator.

Tell me what experiments I should perform then? I'm yet to see a flat earth model that accounts for the seasons and night & day at the same time, which the globe model can do easily.
beefartist ago
I don't think you have looked into it at all then...I am not doing the work for you but at the end of the day it doesn't make a difference in your daily life...unless you knowyou try to fly a plane or something.
Unchosen1 ago
I have looked into it. I'm saying that despite my best efforts I haven't found one. If it exists I would very much like to see it, but I can't find it. I can find models that explain the seasons and models that explain day and night - but not at the same time.
I've flown on planes to destinations all around the world, experiencing travel time, changes in time of day and seasons in a way that is consistent with the globe model.
beefartist ago
How hard did the plane have to constantly bank (wrong word)to keep from pointing into the sky and stalling out? You aren't going to be able to comprehend or model it all ...that is a lie of modernity but you can figure out what it ISN'T pretty easily. Dave Weiss probably has a model that demonstrates the movements of the sun...
