Actually existed for a long time.
They also have a microwave version for many decades.
They can also do it with directional audio devices (forget name) which makes it appear sound simply comes from a point in space, based on where you point.

Isn’t the microwave thing why Britain is more brainwashed than the USA ?
Don't know about that.
But it basically uses your skull as a resonance chamber. Which vibrates your inner ear. Like that you hear voices.
