In a perfect scenario it wouldn’t work that way but allowing for the many other possible factors from bad intention to poor quality control over vast numbers of individuals I am not convinced.

I wouldn't threat over it since gmo only last a generation or so. They as of yet are unable to carry the mutated genes over to the next generations.
