It's not as uncommon as some of you want to believe.
The crowd I ran with in Junior High/High School had this guy in it. He failed a few grades, so he was like 3 years older than everyone else. He could drive by the time we were all in 8th grade, and always had some kind of hot rod which, in the late 80s, meant he was swimming in pussy.
He never really matured, though, and neither did his taste in women. He was slowly ostracized from the "group," because he kept showing up to parties with children, but there were still people who hung out with him. He formed his own little group of four or five people, three of which (four, counting him) are now all on the sex offender registry. Even after high school, he always had some 14yr old slut riding shotgun with him. He didn't get busted until all the rest of us were like 21-22, putting him at 24-25.
I don't know how he got busted. If it was a sting, or if some parent finally called the cops on him. His official charge was 3rd Degree Attempted Criminal Sexual Contact with a Minor (13-15).
