I don't think this is anything new with the digital age of the Internet. Media has been responsible for representing political options for a very long time.

This is kind of why it is a big deal only about 6 companies run all of the media in the US. In a similar way Google IS the main search engine - although there are other options.
I agree. Those I know who don't understand how Google search works believe that search results reveal truth. Even those who know news stations have bias will assume that search engines don't. I realize that's nothing more than ignorance, but who would educate them?
