The word 'kike' is short for 'kikel' which is the Yiddish word for 'circle'.

When new arrivals on Ellis Island were unable to sign their own name they were allowed to sign with an 'X'. It was common for Jewish people to be illiterate enough to not even be able to sign their own name but an 'X' looks too much like a cross so they signed with a circle instead.

We should realy be calling the sheds instead. (shed = demon in yiddish)

Is that the origin of tic tac toe?

Good question. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case.
