In the times of these texts, husbands and wives were selected by the parents, you could be betrothed to a woman already as a child. When she is OF AGE, she agrees to the marriage, and the intercourse AT THAT TIME seals the betrothal, and the couple are considered married. You can see that this is the case because it clearly segways into the case of intercourse when she is menstruating, clearly not possible for a 3 year old. Please actually read the entire thing, and not just copy-paste bullshit from forums.
