It's not going to change anything. YouTube has been banning channels for years and every time someone big goes down they say this is it, finally everyone will leave YouTube. It never happens and never will as long as all the normies continue to use it, which they will because it's popular.
It also comes preinstalled in most smartphones and TVs... and it has the very useful feature of automatic subtitles that while not perfect are usually good enough to make you understand a foreign language.
There is simply no valid alternative to YouTube and even if there was one it would still be unknown to most people.
Of course content creators go where there is public.
And money, most importantly. Any new youtube like website that comes around will not have the monetization that youtube has, it's backed by fucking google after all. Not to mention google would either buy out the new website, if not google then facebook, or some other massive company and we'd be right back where we started with censorship.
As long as money is linked to youtube this threat of censorship will never go away because when you have money you have conflicts of interest. I wish I knew what a good way to deal with all this is.
