They just can't face how close they ar to being a target of this themselves. They would rather silence the victims than face the horrible truth that they are next.

I've known 2 people IRL who claimed they were some form of TI though they never used that word. If I hadn't known them then, I might not be here now.
It's certainly interesting, but I could never offer a verdict on it.
I have, in defense of the reaction of most, found at least a few that despite listening with an open mind, were clearly fucking nutjobs. Still, that doesn't mean they all are and it certainly doesn't make it LESS interesting to read about.
