There's like 4-5 ovens that were actually hooked up at Auschwitz. Then the Soviets dumped the parts to like 20 more ovens on the site, not even assembled, and claimed the Nazis destroyed them. Even with the additional ovens, it would have been impossible.
The other part of the story I love is that when the Nazis had their supply lines cut, couldn't even supply fuel for their tanks or keep their own people from freezing to death, they were able to miracle enough coke to cremate a few million bodies.
