The tele-work push gives large corporations the ability to have a soft layoff program. People left their offices, shits closed down. The finance industry is having wild swings. White collar workers are not far from experiencing 80's style mass firings.

Anyone that can be sent home to work remotely doesn't really have an important job. Maybe companies will realize that and a ton of middle management and office staff will be cut and over head cost reduced.

not true, programmers are important and can work from home.
our physical presence is not what we sell.
