This reassures american businesses that shifting the danger to china is cheaper because the legal and monetary responsibilities associated with these accidents caught on camera would be through the roof in america.

The Chinese government uses the videos as proof to show they'll let someone die and cover it up

I was suspicious the Tianjin explosions in 2015 were caused deliberately to clear inventories during an economic downturn. I'm pretty sure China would nuke one of its own cities if they thought it would preserve the status quo.
