I'd like to know more about what the exact status of 5G is in Israel. There are some articles that say that Israel plans to roll it out in 2020.
I decided to do my own research, by loading up the Samsung homepage for Israel and for the USA and international sites. Samsung has the Galalxy S20 Ultra 5G advertised in the USA, China, Australia, Switzerland, but for Israel, it omits the 5G part, leaving it as only Galaxy S20 Ultra.
It seems Israel is not rolling it out, but it would be best to accumulate evidence, not just leave it to some casual mention in an interview.
They want to sell the spectrum.. 5g Still technically illegal in Israel though. They may be selling the spectrum for other purposes. In an unusual offering, Israel said companies bidding for spectrum would not need to begin payment for two years. No bids as of yet. I expect there are a lot of 'conditions' placed on this sale. Otherwise, its a cash cow for telecoms, and SOMEONE would have jumped on this.
