But they blew their load too early, so now it's their problem, instead.
On the upside, if this theory has merit, and if the Chinese did a good job, the virus is likely designed to target Hans only, and is unlikely to harm other races very much.

They've done it before
There are many ethnic groups in China. The Han are by far dominant at this point (over 90% I think) because they have decimated the others. I don't think the Han would have done this to their own people on purpose.
