DDT remains a candidate for greatest thing the white man ever invented. Most people under 35 have never even heard of it at this point and that is really a shame. They had malaria all but wiped off the planet, bedbugs wiped entirely out of the South 48, lice and typhus all but wiped off the planet, all of this by the late 1950s and that was too good for them so they banned it. The patents involved had long since expired and there was no way for anybody to make obscene profits from it.

Of course they didn't claim anything like that, the world was being told that DDT was killing all the birds particularly hawks and eagles and that it was poisoning children and that turned out to be a bunch of total bullshit. There might in fact have been a problem with using the stuff as an area pesticide for crops but there was no downside to using it to protect human habitats. It was very cheap compared to any other pesticide before or since, long lasting, and total death on the creatures of Pandora's box while being totally safe to higher animals.

There were guys who fell into vats of the stuff in the fifties who were still walking around with no ill effects decades later, at least one guy who used to eat the stuff with a spoon to demonstrate its safety. Everybody who survived those concentration camps in WW-II were sprayed with the stuff to kill lice, again no ill effects, and in fact a couple of major typhus epidemics were stopped cold by the stuff as if they'd run into a brick wall right after the war.

DDT was largely killed by a book called "Silent Spring" written by a libtard/greentard idiot by the name of Rachel Carson, and then banned by the EPA.

Since DDT was banned, there have been upwards of 100M needless human deaths from malaria and, for every person who dies of malaria, ten or twelve have their lives shattered by it and never totally recover.

There are two things all demmunists, ltards, and sflakes need to know:

1. John Rockefeller saved the whales (kerosene), and
2. Rachel Carson is the greatest mass murderer in human history.

Neither Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Genghis Khan, Tamerlane or anybody else ever came close to her numbers.
