He banned me from his subverse /v/Fukushima for questioning an article he posted.
Basically I don't subscribe to the whole Fukushima will fry the world trend.
So after a quick discussion he banned me for being a nuclear industry shill.
He also won't properly explain his decision aside from that comment on the banned persons log.
As for your question, I wouldn't put too much money on that. For the most part I've seen dumbfucks calling people shills.
It seems to me that it's become a sort of insult or something.
But I've also seen a couple of actual shills on here.
However they're far less exciting than you're thinking.
Just off the top of my head there was a vacation website shill, an anti vaxxer, some obscure website spamming themselves, and some fashion something or other.
I'm sure there's a few political ones on here with all the campaign circle jerks and smears. But I honestly just don't care enough about that shit.
It was one account in particular that was brand new with nearly two dozen posts. All of them about how vaccines will kill the children or give them autism. Most but not all the links lead back to a single hippy dippy website.
There's that guy that keeps posting that shitty "Manhood 101" thing, just a snake oil salesman but he's persistant in his ctrl-c ctrl-v practise. He must have burned through a hundred accounts thanks to the downvoat system and then voat went invite only so he's been begging and buying accounts to spam with, slowed him down a lot.
Thank you for the response. Tangentially; losing reactor cores in the earths crust is concerning to me...but as my geologist friends say "the oceans are vast."
I by no means think it's a good thing. However there is a sad history of dumping nuclear waste into the oceans. So although it's an on going problem with a difficult solution. It's proven thus far that it's not going to fry the world.
I'm concerned due to the amount of calories the Asian countries pull from that ocean. Cut off that food supply and things would be bad. Bad is not good.
Well over fishing is a problem all its own. Which is exasperated due to the amount of island countries in the area that rely on the ocean for food and other stuff.

I take this to mean you have been accused before, but you deny the claim?
Do you think that falsely calling out "shills" is a shill technique to draw attention away from themselves? (....I'm having fun now....)

Why would you consider an "anti vaxxer" a shill?
I know why i suspect pro vaxxers to be shills.

Yeah it was at least one guy and possibly more.
But they were pretty active for a bit. Atko ended up banning the URL.
So they ended switching tactics and spamming comments instead.
I'm not sad to see their absence.
