Until you have spent time there, in both places, you won't understand. I have been to settlements, through the IDF, in gaza and the territories. It is objectively fact that the Israeli's are a far more civilized, far less bloodthirsty demographic. I witnessed children in hamas schools being brainwashed to kill innocent people, knife attacks on random strangers celebrated, etc. etc..
