Put it into perspective. It's easy to build up "critics" -- or rather in any case -- "resistance" -- of any sort against something, like a figurehead of a name everyone knows to be against some sort of struggle against the establishment, and then have that figurehead killed in order to place blame on who they want the people to be against, in this case, they want the public to be against Putin.
Whether Putin really did have a hand in it is irrelevant, the blame is still placed on him and his loyal followers. The same thing happened to Hitler.
However the difference is, Putin is not Russian, he's Jewish.
